Currently a 25% cash rebate scheme is running in Norway to entice international film, TV drama and documentary  productions and co-productions to the country. It is there to stimulate the Norwegian film industry as well as promote Norwegian culture and heritage on the international stage. Films, documentaries and TV drama productions partly of fully produced in Norway can qualify for the scheme as long as a minimum eligible cost of NOK 2 million is spent and the production can document an international distribution agreement.

 

Applications are subject to approval and will initially be reviewed by film advisors from the Norwegian Film Institute. Further information and advice on the incentive scheme, as well as help with applying can be found on Norwegian Film Institute’s pages
